Power of expression is probably the most undervalued quality in human life. One cant begin to realise how literally powerful it can be ! stress a fact too many times and people begin to believe it . the verity of the fact might be questionable but the authority the source displays in quoting this fact and the repetition of the same makes it acceptable.

There are numerous examples to supplement this fact, some good and some on the darker side . Throughout history, charismatic leaders have galvanised their legions with brave words and assurances of glory. Scandals have been blown apart by whistleblowers who did the right thing at their own peril.
The dark side of this issue refuses to lie down though . Consider the lies fabricated by Hitler . He created an evil myth and propagated his story to millions. Hitler, an evil despot that he was , was also unfortunately a charismatic orator . He fed lies to his people with authority and his cronies were responsible for the repetition. Thus a nation was fooled into actually believing ghastly things , which led them on the path of destruction.
What with so many people expressing their views so freely on so many topics , the thin veil between reality and deception is minimal if not nonexistant. How do i find out if the facts that i have been fed are true or not ? i may be getting misled by opinions mouthed by someone who really knows how to say things right and gets the content completely wrong ?? And now im scared !
I had read a science fiction book once which based its story on a clique of deranged individuals who changed our future by spreading lies and inciting nations against each other to cause mass chaos. Playing with mass consiousness may not just be a part of fiction considering that this has already been used by evildoers for their own means.
All said and done , fortunately there are more sane and responsible people on this planet (currently) than those of twisted minds. The balance is still on our side and we carry it into the future . Death to the dark side. Touché .

its a frightening thought that words have so much power. and the written word becomes permanant . a person reading it say 50 years hence might take it to be true or part of history.
a womderful expression.
