Power of expression is probably the most undervalued quality in human life. One cant begin to realise how literally powerful it can be ! stress a fact too many times and people begin to believe it . the verity of the fact might be questionable but the authority the source displays in quoting this fact and the repetition of the same makes it acceptable.
There are numerous examples to supplement this fact, some good and some on the darker side . Throughout history, charismatic leaders have galvanised their legions with brave words and assurances of glory. Scandals have been blown apart by whistleblowers who did the right thing at their own peril.
The dark side of this issue refuses to lie down though . Consider the lies fabricated by Hitler . He created an evil myth and propagated his story to millions. Hitler, an evil despot that he was , was also unfortunately a charismatic orator . He fed lies to his people with authority and his cronies were responsible for the repetition. Thus a nation was fooled into actually believing ghastly things , which led them on the path of destruction.
What with so many people expressing their views so freely on so many topics , the thin veil between reality and deception is minimal if not nonexistant. How do i find out if the facts that i have been fed are true or not ? i may be getting misled by opinions mouthed by someone who really knows how to say things right and gets the content completely wrong ?? And now im scared !
I had read a science fiction book once which based its story on a clique of deranged individuals who changed our future by spreading lies and inciting nations against each other to cause mass chaos. Playing with mass consiousness may not just be a part of fiction considering that this has already been used by evildoers for their own means.
All said and done , fortunately there are more sane and responsible people on this planet (currently) than those of twisted minds. The balance is still on our side and we carry it into the future . Death to the dark side. Touché .

population and beaurocracy
These days, if you have to go out somewhere, the first thing u need to find before you go forth on your adventure is strangely, the road . For when u do go out , the only thing you see now days is people and more people fighting for their right to use the tar. Believe me , its been ages since i have actually seen that beautiful black piece of art they call the road, such is the level of congestion on my streets .
This is what is ails my city, people keep flooding in and they never stop. It isnt bad for the city or for the people actually, quite the opposite. Both have prospered and always will prosper in their own right, but the infrastructure just cant handle the sustained pressure ! The government, if it is in its right mind, needs to take care of its people so that the people prosper and the nation too as a result of it. But as usual, the government is in shambles.
The situation wouldnt have been half as bad, had we not had monkeys sitting in office here. These people have this fascinating ability to show how overloaded with work they are ,while at the same time managing to accomplish absolutely positively nothing.
Half the money allocated to any official government project goes into the wellbeing of the government official's very unofficial mistress. The rest goes into the contractor's pocket to help him pleasure his and all his minions' whims. So we are left with infrastructure that would be considered state of the art when alexander the great was rising to power in europe and jesus christ was still the messiah-to-be .
Such is the rot in the system that the official is actually surprised if you dont offer them money under the table ! He might even check his rulebook to see if this isnt illegal !
Nowadays a new concept has come in, thanks to the media and it is called the sting operation. The journalist catch the corrupt government official accepting bribes red handed with the help of devices such as hidden cameras and tape recorders.
Well, no worries to the more seasoned warriors of the corrupt realm, this just increases their popularity amongst their own , and helps them create a sort of notoriety amongst the general public.
And in a world infested by such maggots do we simple folk try to eke out an existence. The hope that atleast one star will shine amongst all the black holes and actually do something for the city keeps us going. For that is what my city desperately needs and if this doesnt happen, the city will collapse unto itself and a star will be banished into being a black hole.

There arent many occasions when people go crazy for something and then, at the end of it all , get so little as reward for their fanaticism. A phenomenon pretty much similar to this scenario recreates itself almost every game in the the english soccer scenario.
The supporters of the english game are a rowdy and boisterous lot . Their support to their team is, of course, legendary.
The english soccer scene is divided into several leagues, the topmost of which is called ,(surprise surpise ! ) the premier league. There are twenty teams in this league, competing for top honours. Now each of these teams, however lowly placed in the table, has a set of unmoving, dedicated supporters that are to be seen to be believed. Even if the lowermost team is hosting the league leader, it is often the turn of the leaders to feel intimidated by the atmosphere in the stadium.
I recall a scene once, in which a team called west brom was promoted to the premier league . Even its most loyal supporters laughed their heads off when anybody suggested they could win a match in the league , and staying up in the league was pure fantasy ! But was this going to stop them supporting their team ? of course not ! what a preposterous suggestion !
Thats how it is . For good or for bad, through victories and heartbreaking defeats, through wrenching relegations and promotions, a supporter will always stick with his lot.
Football games are not just sporting events, they are much more to the fans. The football stadium is a temple. The fans come here to show their devotion . And how they show it ! They come with clangers, drums and whatnot , and they enjoy themselves till they drop. They create such an atmosphere that , after a while , it doesnt even matter if they win or lose. Its the pure entertainment that keeps everybody going. Dont get me wrong, everybody is desperately hoping their team is going to send the opposition to the dryers , but hell, the sky is not going to fall on our heads if our team doesnt !
And that’s how it goes. I hope this spirit that is prevalent amongst the gooners, the trotters, the toffees and so on ,names these fans go by , never fades, and the beautiful game is graced with their exuberance forever.
